In this long 21 days of quarantine, we have all learned some patience with a situation we don’t completely understand. However, we are now getting “cabin fever” needing to move around.  In anticipation of our freedom I would like to tell you our plans for this week.

We are waiting for a test to come back on a horse that was running a fever Sunday. That test won’t be back until late Tuesday. Because of that, our start-date to stick and ball has been pushed to Wednesday, if the test is negative. This stick and ball will be done in your immediate areas. We also are looking to start slow practices inside your areas by Friday.

We would like to extend an invitation to those of you that are stabled outside of the quarantine area to use our Field 9 on Madison and 50. IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT CLUB YOU PLAY WITH. Everyone needs to get back to being tournament ready. Let stick together as a polo community and keep the state vets and Mike Manno happy with how we’ve behaved. You still cannot drive your horses into the club area, but you may use our field. The inside of the club is still closed to your horses! You must call to let us know you’re coming to stick and ball. 760-963-9930.

Following is the proposed schedule for Feb. and March based on the current quarantine period.  This schedule is subject to change so check back for updates.

Empire Polo Club has lowered it’s playing fees for 2012.  Stabling fees remain unchanged and our social membership rates will remain the same as last year.

We’ve added three new arena tournaments to our season schedule. One is the USPA Arena Masters tournament schedule for Thanksgiving weekend.  That same weekend we will be hosting a WCT Arena Qualifier (Women’s Championship Tournament) to be followed at the end of the season by a WCT Arena Finals.
