Well, it is 2 steps forward and 1 back today. The 2 horses in isolation were both in fine shape and samples were sent out for testing. Unfortunately, they were joined by another horse that spiked a fever late this afternoon. This is a polo horse originating from the biosecurity zone in the Forum field stabling area. No other signs of illness were noted. The horse was moved to the isolation area immediately and was placed far away from the other two horses there. Samples will be taken in the morning and sent out for testing. These results should be ready Wednesday afternoon.
This just shows we cannot let up now. Remain vigilant – stay to your areas and monitor temperatures twice a day. Stay positive.
