8-10 Goal Champions’ Cup Finals for 3rd and 4th place

Alex Haagen III of Empire and Chris Maloney of Twin Palms Polo Club matched funds in the 8-10 Goal Empire Champions’ Cup purse.  Six teams paid a $5000 entry fee ($30,000) and with matching funds the total purse was $60,000.

MVP and BBP ($5000 each) were sponsored by Alex Haagen III.

$60,000 Purse Distribution

1st Place Team: 50% of the purse
2nd Place Team: 25% of the purse
3rd Place Team: 15% of the purse
4th Place Team: 10% of the purse

Empire/Shanghai won the 8-10 Goal Champions' Cup Finals and were awarded a check for $30,000, 50% of the purse. Alex Haagen IV, Mr. and Mrs. Haagen III, Joe Henderson, Ashton Wolf, Nick Morrison, Abby Riggs, Steve Armour and Denny Geiler.
Mansour was the runner-up and won $15,000. Mr. & Mrs. Alex Haagen III, Santiago Von Wernich, Tiamo Hudspeth (substituted for an injured Ben Soleimani), Patrick Uretz, Miss Empire, Marcos Bignoli, Gaston Von Wernich (substituted for Santiago) and Denny Geiler.

Santa Rosa Ranch won 4th place and $6,000. Susan Stovall, Miguel Gutierrez, Nicolas Maciel, Rob Yackley and Scott Cunningham.

 

4-Goal Lion’s Cup Finals 

Cam Clark Ford defeated Fair Hills 8-4 to win Lion’s Cup Finals.

Most Valuable Player was Jerod Sheldon
Best Playing Pony was awarded to Graydon Britton’s horse Serrano, a 9 year-old chestnut gelding that was home bred.

Cam Clark Polo Team wins the 4-Goal Lion's Cup Finals and takes home $6,000. Denny Geiler, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Haagen III, Cam Clark, Canelo Silvestre, Dayelle Fargey, Jerod Sheldon and Trish Fitzgerald.


Fair Hills was the runner up winning $2,000. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Haagen III, Jimmy Wright, Ted Oakie, Micky Britton, Ashton Wolf, Graydon Britton, Miss Empire and Denny Geiler.

Colleen Wilson of Adeptus Nutrition presents Micky Britton and Graydon Britton with the Best Playing Pony award for their 9 year old, chestnut gelding named Serrano. The gelding was home bred.

Alex Haagen III matched funds in the 4-Goal Lion’s Cup.  Each team paid a $1,000 entry fee and four teams participated. With matching funds the purse total was $8,000.
