6-8 Goal Medjhool Challenge
March 10th, 2013 – Empire Polo Club
The Finals of Medjhool Challenge started with a scoreless first chukker. It was any team’s game going into the second period of play. Lockton took the lead with two goals scored by Miguel Guiterrez from penalty shots and a third goal was posted by Charly Cendoya. Joe Henderson answered with a goal for Casa Sombras.

Lockton held on to their lead with a goal by Remy Muller taking them to a 3-point lead. The tables began to turn in the fourth chukker. Casa Sombras woke up and started scoring goals. Ashton Wolf placed two points on the board along with one by Bolko Kissling to narrow the margin. Tim Kelly kept the lead for Lockton with a goal from the field.
Cendoya scored a penalty shot and it looked like Lockton may stay in front, but Casa Sombras wasn’t ready to give up. Kissling and Wolf both contributed two more goals to tie the game in the sixth chukker. The game went into sudden death overtime and Henderson scored the winning goal and headed with Casa Sombras to the trophy stand to claim the Medjhool Challenge. The final score was 8-7 in favor of Casa Sombras. It was a well-fought battle and all of the players on both teams scored goals and played well.
