January 26, 2012 by EPC Staff Leave a Comment

The polo games at the Empire Polo Club have been temporarily suspended after a horse residing on the property was confirmed positive for the neuropathogenic strain of Equine Herpes Virus-1 (NEHV-1) . The Empire Polo Club and the surrounding horse properties have been put under a 21 day quarantine by State Animal Health officials.

Dr Mike Manno, DVM has provided an update about the EHV-1 situation and new updates will be posted on this website as they are received.
