School is OUT and Summer polo is IN! Empire Polo Club is pleased to be hosting its annual Summer Polo Day Camp for children. Beginners to more advanced players, between the ages of 8-18, are welcome to join Connie Atkinson and Robin Sanchez, USPA instructor to learn more about the game of polo, horse care and riding skills (some prior riding experience required for acceptance). U.S.P.A. Membership required by all players; new players will receive one year free U. S. P.A. Membership.
Date: Tuesday evening @ 5:30, June 16th thru Saturday, June 20th
Morning Lessons 7:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Afternoon Lessons 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
**Players are expected to attend both AM and PM lessons
Schedule Includes:
- Care of polo horse and equipment
- Tacking & wrapping a polo horse
- Rules & strategies of the game
- Horsemanship
- Mallet work
- Team work and development of playing skills
- Daily scrimmage practice in the arena and on the grass fields
- Final tournament
Cost: $425/person
(includes horse & tack, water, snacks, evening BBQ, camp shirts)
$25/person, per day for observation only
