The 2013 Season Highlights at Empire Polo Club

Welcome to the 2013 Polo Season
at Empire Polo Club

As we begin the 2013 polo season at Empire Polo Club our focus remains on expanding our facility and offering polo players and spectators a five-star experience.

Polo has been played at Empire Polo Club since 1987 and we are committed to continue this tradition in style.  Every year we add new features and improvements to Empire Polo Club with the goal of creating the “ultimate playing experience.”

This past summer we have installed two new grass fields and added over 100 new stalls bringing our total up to 600 stalls and 12 grass fields.  We’ve continued to improve our polo fields and from player’s comments last season, they are pleased with the results thus far.  Players can expect even better fields this season as we continue to add more sand and fine-tune our field maintenance.

Spectators will enjoy the remodeled Trophy Terrace that overlooks field #1.  The new VIP seating area provides our Members and guests with an excellent view of the game while offering a shady reprieve along the edge of Medjhool Lake.  We have paved the main entrance to the Club and the road that runs along side of fields 1-3.  This will reduce dust and provide a smooth, clean surface for cars, trucks and trailers to access the main polo fields.  Also new this season are our VIP Tailgating Tents that are available for purchase by the season.

Our 2013 Season Schedule includes several new events.  On Saturday, January 12th, 2013 Empire Polo Club is hosting the USPA Townsend Cup, a challenge match between the U.S.A. and England.  The featured game will be held in the Empire Polo Stadium and admission is free.  On Saturday, February 23rd we have the Rhythm, Wine and Brews Fest. This event will include wine and beer tasting with live music. This is a special event and tickets can be purchased online at www.rhythmwineandbrewsfest.com.   On Saturday, March 23rd, Nacho Figueras will join forces with Empire Polo to host a charity exhibition polo match and fundraising event to benefit Autism Speaks.  This is a special event and tickets will be available for sale via our website.

This season “Polo Under The Lights” is scheduled every Friday evening at 6 PM, January 4th through March 29th, 2013.  Sunday Games will be held on Field #1 with featured matches at 12:00 and 2:00 PM. General admission and tailgating is free for all polo games with the exception of special events.  Click here for our full season schedule.

As the desert polo scene continues to shift and change, our family remains steadfast in our dedication to the sport and in our ability to invest in the growth of polo.  While there is a lot of speculation on what the future holds for desert polo, one thing you can be sure of is that Empire Polo Club is building for the future.  A future that guarantees polo will be played in the desert for many years to come.

Sincerely,

The Haagen’s
