More good news.  The single horse in quarantine tested negative for the neuropathogenic strain of EHV-1.  It did test positive for the respiratory form and is still suffering flu-like symptoms and continues to be treated as such.  There will be no change to the quarantine schedule though since only the neuropathogenic strain is considered. Mostly good news today.  The 2 horses from the 52nd and Madison stabling area tested negative for EHV-1 of any strain.  They are already back in their own stalls.  The one remaining horse in isolation had a near normal temperature this morning but again had a fever in the afternoon.  It exhibits no nasal discharge

Well, it is 2 steps forward and 1 back today.  The 2 horses in isolation were both in fine shape and samples were sent out for testing.  Unfortunately, they were joined by another horse that spiked a fever late this afternoon.  This is a polo horse originating from the biosecurity zone in the Forum field

No new cases today.  The two horses in isolation appear well clinically with normal temperatures.  After discussions with the State officials, the chief veterinarian for the Animal Health Division requested testing both horses since they are the only ones in isolation that originated outside the biosecurity zone.  This will be done Monday morning with results
